I feel like I just went shopping in a broken down flea market where the owner has been missing for months just by downloading this application and using it for five minutes. Devs pockets must really be hurting for some change to throw in there if they are willing to put their name on garbage like this at the chance some schmuck will fall for actually paying for a stripped down version of MS Paint with "them moving pichers" capability.
Sad that this program is what comes up when you google search Windows 10 default video editor app. This program really brings shame to all who were involved in its release and their families. I have yet to find a solution, free download movie maker. This application is absolute garbage.
Advertising it as free with ads is fine, but I downloaded it to split a couple clips together for a school final. I loaded everything in and converted my video files to MP4s, only to find that trimming, one of the most basic and bare-bones feature of any video editor, requires a paid account.
I knew Windows Movie Maker was notoriously bad, but who'd have thought it could get worse. Worst product ever!!! Do not even download. You will be so disappointed. I can not even begin to express my disgust in this product.
I did not even have a MS login. I created one just to review this because I was so upset. To keep you from getting as angry as I am, just run away now. If you download, you will only walk away upset and disappointed.
App is passed off as free - and yes, nothing in life is free, free download movie maker. It isn't until you learn how the software works and you go to save that you realize, you can't save your work! Total letdown, and way to strong arm me for money! I was so excited to have the free version because I didn't need anything fancy for a one-time project. But the inability to save the video is really frustrating. I've lost my project twice and had to start over from the beginning.
